Latex Fit Guide: Find Your Size in 3 Minutes
Fitted latex only works if the fit is right. Here's how to measure yourself and pick your size — plus what to expect when it arrives.

Here's the thing: most latex brands size the way regular clothes do. You buy a Medium because you always wear a Medium. Then it arrives, you try it on, and it's… not quite right. Maybe it's tight in the waist, loose at the hips, or the length is off. And once latex doesn't fit, it doesn't do what you bought it for. So here's how to get it right the first time.
Why fit matters (and why it's different from regular clothing)
Latex isn't forgiving. A t-shirt that's a half-size too big is fine — you wear it anyway. Latex that's a half-size too big looks sloppy and feels like it's sliding around. Latex that's a half-size too small either doesn't zip or feels suffocating.
The reason? Latex is meant to fit — to move with your body, to be seen. It's not covering you up; it's highlighting the shape you have. So "good enough" doesn't work.
Here's the move: measure yourself once, check the fit notes on the product page, and size according to your measurements, not your usual size.
How to measure (3 steps)
- Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest. Stand straight, don't suck in.
- Waist: Measure around your narrowest part (usually above the belly button).
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and thighs.
Write all three down. Every product page includes fit notes for that specific piece — compare your numbers against those, not against what size you wear in denim.
What the sizing actually means
Shop the Pieces
CoutrelléLatex sizing describes the range of bodies a piece fits well — not the maximum body it can stretch over. If your measurements land at the top of a size range, or between two sizes, size up. Latex stretches about an inch with wear and body heat, but starting too small means fighting the zip and hating the first hour.
Pro tips (because fit isn't everything)
- Latex is temperature-sensitive. Try it on in a warm room. In a cold house it'll feel stiffer and smaller than it will once you're out moving.
- The first five minutes feel weird. Your skin is used to breathable fabric. Latex feels like a second skin, which takes a minute to adjust to. By minute five, most people forget they're wearing it.
- Damp hands are enough to get into most pieces — you don't need dressing aids for a two-piece set.
- It's supposed to be snug. If there's wiggle room, it's too big. Latex is meant to fit close.
What if the fit isn't perfect when it arrives?
We take returns seriously because we know fit matters. If your set doesn't fit, read our shipping & returns policy or email us. We'll make it right — swap the size, refund you, whatever you need.
But give yourself fifteen minutes to really try it on first. A lot of "it doesn't fit" becomes "oh, it's perfect" once you're actually wearing it, warmed up, and looking in a full-length mirror instead of down at your own waistband.
