The Latex Protocol

Premium latex is a living material. With proper care, your Coutrellé pieces will maintain their shine, shape, and strength for years.

After Every Wear

• Wipe down with a soft, damp cloth to remove body oils and perspiration
• Allow to air dry completely before storing

Shine & Polish

• Apply a thin layer of silicone-based latex polish for a high-gloss finish
• Use a lint-free cloth to buff to your desired sheen
• Avoid oil-based products — they degrade latex over time

Storage

• Store flat or loosely folded in a cool, dark place
• Use a garment bag to prevent contact with other materials
• Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and sharp objects
• For ivory pieces: store separately from dark garments to prevent color transfer

What to Avoid

• Machine washing or dry cleaning
• Perfumes, oils, and lotions applied directly to the garment
• Prolonged exposure to sunlight
• Contact with metals (other than the built-in hardware)
